As the president of the Stewart House Foundation,
She has played an instrumental role in promoting
& raising funds to acquire an historic Frank Lloyd Wright house.
Many of her projects are experimental and often serve as prototypes.

Through my research and observation of the children at Sankofa School, I became aware that the primary characteristic of autistic children is non-engagement in the world. Historically, music has always bonded individuals together by creating universal sounds in which we all dance. By creating music together the children will become more engaged with each other and thus more engaged with the word.
This project has been undertaken to address the crisis in American society. It is a prototype for sustainable living, in which the natural environment, community, family and the spiritual are addressed as integrated parts of a whole.
